Ali Baldiwala was born into a legacy of architects. It was decades ago, that Bakir Baldiwala, Ali’s father, founded Baldiwala Associates – the Mumbai-based design firm. A young Ali was always found flexing his creative brain, he often accompanied his father on site visits where he became intrigued by the entire creative process, the magic of unravelling something magical out of a mess of cement and brick. It’s safe to say, that Ali was immersed in the environment of design and its endless possibilities from an early age.

Design is often understood in terms of structure, colour, texture, depth and balance. But aside from these factors, the real genius behind every creation is the human element. At Baldiwala Edge, the father-son duo of Bakir and Ali Baldiwala believe that interior design is as much about the inner landscapes of people’s minds and hearts.
